Three Award Winning Designers Reveal Their New Year’s Style Predictions

Date

With a whole new year rolling out, it may be time to think about a fresh start for your living space. Should you update from neutrals to bold color? Do you love the look of quaint vintage charm, but your home reflects more modern styles? We asked our design contest winners what they see coming down the road for kitchen design trends in the new year and how Alleanza Quartz design is the perfect fit for your renovation resolutions.

Kola Berisa of Richmond Marble & Granite wowed us with his kitchen contest design. As he looks forward to 2022, he sees a switch from stark, all-white kitchens to using more wood in cabinetry. “I anticipate the use of dark oak and walnut kitchen colors following the popularity of white kitchens for the last few years. These accents will bring warmth to the kitchen.”

If you’re not sure how Alleanza Quartz will pair with your darker toned accents, you can see how your room will come together using our trademarked AQ Visualizer online tool. Pick your desired room style, the quartz of your choice, as well as the flooring, and view the room from several different angles. Have fun experiment with different colors and ideas! You’ll see how well Alleanza Quartz will work in your design plan.

For Jullian Sarkis of Emerald Design Studio, whose bold bathroom design showcased the stunning veining of our Monarch Collection quartz, she sees sustainability playing a major role in 2022 kitchen design styles. “I think we will see more people valuing environmental sustainability. People want something high quality that will last decades. Alleanza is a high-quality, environmentally-conscious product that customers can turn to.”

Alleanza Quartz is sustainable by nature because the natural quartz material comes directly from the earth, and there is an abundance of it available. Compared to other countertop materials, it’s more durable, so it doesn’t need to be replaced as often, and it’s recyclable.

AQ is also certified by Greenguard Gold. It has been tested and scientifically proven to have low chemical emissions. And it’s regularly put through NSF testing for compliance with specific standards for safety, quality, sustainability, and performance. Alleanza Quartz is safe for environments that require the highest level of microbial resistance, such as schools, healthcare facilities, and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) environments. This quartz line is the product of choice for your sustainability needs.

Jillian also sees people looking at their countertop materials for different uses. “Aesthetically, I think we will see more people use their countertop material also as a backsplash. The Monarch Collection has so much movement. It really elevates a space when carried up a backsplash or behind a ventilation hood.”

Not sure if you can imagine new ways to use a quartz slab? Let our virtual quartz design consultants open your eyes to fresh ideas. Our trained galleria consultants offer personalized quartz design and product knowledge, and can help you select the perfect quartz that fits your design. You can even show them cabinetry samples, floor samples, paint swatches, or photos of designs that inspire you to create a custom design look that reflects your personal style.

Our other design competition winner, Jordan Thomes of IVO Cabinets & Surfaces is seeing retro as a big trend taking shape. “The design world is beginning to call back to vintage motifs. I’ve seen an uptick in the desire for some more mid-century aesthetics as well as implementing elements of a classic 1920s home. Whether it be the vibrant colors found in a 1970s conversation pit or the bold contrast of a checkered floor, I think we are breaking out from calm, neutral spaces.”

Jordan believes Alleanza Quartz can fit right into the concept of throwback design. “The Cashmere Collection would go hand in hand with this type of design trend. “Both Gotham Grey and Super White Extra are the perfect balance of bold and fluid that I think of when I think of retro kitchens. The solid black and white designs pair well with the bright and saturated cabinetry. The creamy landscape of Pisa White would also play well with so many of the trends from the 20th century.”

Alleanza offers three different design collections:

Cashmere – a neutral palette sought for its elegance and soft tones
Manhattan – textured quartz slabs that will elevate any space
Monarch – marble-inspired designs with striking touches and wide veining

How about a neutral choice from our Cashmere Collection to balance a bold, colorful room, or a show-stopping art piece from our Monarch Collection to layer into your maximalist style? What design inspiration is tugging at you this year for your space?

Give your new year a fresh start with Alleanza Quartz. Whether it’s a simple countertop replacement or a bold new look, we have what you’re looking for.
